Deluxe Apartment Suites Featuring Passive Performing Aluminum Clad Wood Windows & Doors

Century Quarter House is an exceptional new development, conveniently appointed in the heart of De Beauvoir. This notable building was designed by award-winning Hawkins Browns and Gresford Architects. Driven by the desire to flood the spacious open floor plan with the warmth of natural light, the architect specified a mixture of large expanding windows and doors throughout each apartment.

The glazing played a very important role in opening up the plan and a variety of window and door shapes, sizes and types were utilised throughout each apartment. To connect the indoors with the outside, and to minimise heat loss, it was necessary to use large expanses of triple glazing with a mix of operable windows and doors. The mix of windows and doors allowed for a variety of ways to ventilate the apartments.

Reaching Passive Performance With Minimal Framing

The Signature contemporary aluminium clad wood windows and doors by Marvin Architectural presented the perfect solution for reaching passive thermal performance and maximising natural light with ultra slim profiles. The architect preferred Marvin Architectural over other suppliers as they got a consistent full turn-key window and door package that satisfy their contemporary design requirements along with the experienced in-house services.

The low maintenance aluminium cladding exterior combined with the polymer thermal-break provided a truly sustainable solution that would require virtually zero maintenance. The clean lines and minimal frames complement the contemporary architecture and décor without sacrificing on performance.

Marvin Architectural’s experienced commercial installation team successfully installed all 130 units into each apartment working on a tight schedule around the busy downtown location.
